JUNE MEETING

About twenty four people attended the workshop meeting at Peter Howell’s shop.

FROM THE PRESIDENT

I realize that this time of year many are not thinking of Christmas but some of our members are busy making toy parts. Of course these parts are assembled into a variety of toys that brighten a child’s eyes on Christmas morning. To speed up this process, jigs are used to aid in this manufacturing process.

At this meeting, we will observe how the jigs are used and hopefully learn the importance of jigs in mass production. So if you have a jig that you use while making toys, bring it to this meeting to show everyone.

If you wish to get more involved in the toy program just talk to Peter Howell. He will gladly see that you have material to make toys or parts.

Thanks go to Glen Jewell and Randy Hodges for the time and effort on the Rhododendron booth last month. Although the weather did not cooperate, their time is appreciated. Glenn Pauley is preparing for the annual picnic at his residence on Sat., Sept. 30 th . More information to come!

Be sure and check out our web site for updated information and pictures. If you can’t make it to a meeting, just review the website for some pictures from that meeting. Ken Rollins has done an excellent job on updating this site as has Don White in taking pictures for the website and newsletter.

Remember to take the time to be safe so you can enjoy your shop time!
