Club Projects

The next club project is a jewelry box.  The first jewelry box workshop is scheduled for Saturday, January 24. Details will be discussed at the January meeting.

Dan Pleska, speaking for Allan McNeel, reported that there were not any plans available for the specific jewelry box that everyone signed up for at the last meeting. Instead, Allan proposed that they make a jewelry box that appeared in the April 2002 edition of American Woodworker. The extra costs to build this box, other than the wood, would be a pair of stop hinges for about $30.00, an escutcheon for about $6.00, and the velvet for about $25.00.

Some past projects include:

2007 - Dulcimer and Chippendale style mirror
2006 - Blanket chest and small box with dovetails
2005 - 18th century side chair and Shaker chair
2004 - Drop leaf tea table and Craftsman style mantle clock
2003 - Craftsman style toolbox and Candlestick table
2002 - Single door wall cabinet
2001 - Small box with hand cut dovetails
2000 - Table (rectangle, triangle or half-round) with tapered legs
