Welcome to the Valley Woodworkers of West Virginia web page. Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 6:30PM.  The location is 302 12th Street, Dunbar, WV. Look for the Valley Woodworker sign on the entry door.

Toy Project

On December 14, the Valley Woodworkers delivered 542 toys to the Salvation Army for their annual giveaway to underprivileged families. They included doll cradles with blanket and pillow sets, alphabet blocks with wagons, puzzle rockers, rocking horse chairs, toy cars, and pull toys. In addition, Randy Heath, a member from Marietta, OH, made 31 toy cars and 18 alphabet blocks with wagons and presented them to the Salvation Army in Parkersburg, WV,

Wood working shows:

The weekend of January 16 - 18 there will be two woodworking shows in Columbus, OH. One is at Wood Werks Supply and the other is “The Woodworking Show” at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fair.

Valley Woodworkers of West Virginia was formed in February 1991.  The purpose of the club is to serve as a means for individuals interested in the many areas of woodworking, as a hobby or as a profession, to meet fellow woodworkers and to share experiences, information and ideas.

Members exchange woodworking ideas, tips, techniques, and sources won such topics as project design, planning, tool use, finishing, refinishing and joinery.

The club maintains a library with many books, magazines and project plans available to members.  Membership is open to all persons with an interest in woodworking regardless of skill level.  Beginners, amateurs and professionals are all welcome.
